DrBelinda Christie

Dr Belinda Christie is the Course Director of the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Sustainability, a Lecturer in Sustainability, and an applied environmental social scientist, with the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, at Deakin University, Australia. She contributes to the teaching of the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Sustainability, Bachelor of Environmental Science (Wildlife and Conservation Biology), Masters of Sustainability, Masters of Biotechnology, and Deakin's FutureLearn programs. Belinda's work centres on environmental education in exploring human relationships with nature and how to create mindful sustainable communities.

Her research and leadership in "education for sustainability" has helped drive innovation in environmental education and sustainability teaching across the tertiary sector. Combined with her extensive work in social research with industry and community, her leadership in environmental education has contributed to the sustainable development of businesses, communities, and cities, both nationally and internationally.
