DrBelinda Christie

As a transdisciplinary, mixed-methods social environmental scientist Belinda's research in the field has covered a range of sustainability and environmental sciences, including industry-based research in environmental and sustainability education (in schools, community, and higher education), environmental management, conservation biology, human-wildlife interactions, urban planning and development, and, as part of a Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Low Carbon Living project during her Postdoctoral Research and Adjunct Research Fellowship with Swinburne University, industrial and residential food waste management and recycling. Belinda is also a certified trauma-informed yoga and meditation teacher (and practionner of 20 years). Her current research explores urban nearby nature, pro-environmental behaviours, mindfulness for sustainability, and trauma-informed social justice orientated environmental education and sustainability pedagogy.
