DrBelinda Christie

Belinda is an award winning trauma-informed, social-justice orientated, sustainability educator, and places evidence-based innovative sustainability pedagogy and student wellbeing at the centre of her teaching. She contributes to the teaching of the Bachelor of Environmental Science and Sustainability, Bachelor of Environmental Science (Wildlife and Conservation Biology), Masters of Sustainability, and FutureLearn programs at Deakin University through on campus, wholly online, and concurrent blended-learning, units. Her teaching covers the breadth of sustainable development, environmental behaviour change, urban and environmental planning, climate change mitigation and adaption, environmental impact assessment, indigenous horticulture and land management, environmental policy, history, philosophy, and economics, ecotourism, and social research methods. As a certified trauma-informed yoga and meditation teacher, Belinda also brings a focus on culitvating wellness, connection, and belonging to her teaching.
