TEACHING EXPERTISE

I want to enable the students I teach to be critics with conscience. Through my research-led teaching, I encourage students to habitually reflect on their learning aspirations and goals through recurrent processes of personal assessment. Unlike individual and reductionist teaching orientations, the approach I espouse is grounded in relational and inclusive engagement. Consequently, personal assessment is always understood in terms of bettering one’s actions and decisions in accordance with collective ambition. Teaching and learning are integral parts of an education geared to enriching one’s potential to participate in and empower relational processes.
