TEACHING EXPERTISE
SEM216 Mechanics of Materials
Fundamental analysis and design of engineering structures, including stress, strain, torsion, bending, deflection, and failure of materials. The unit combines analytical methods with experimental activities to develop practical engineering problem-solving skills.
SEM302 Advanced Composite Materials
Design, analysis and manufacturing of fibre reinforced composite materials and structures. Topics include laminate theory, failure prediction, manufacturing processes, damage mechanisms, and engineering applications of advanced composites.
Project Supervision
Supervision of undergraduate final-year and honours research projects in the areas of composite materials, additive manufacturing, structural analysis, experimental mechanics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Projects are typically industry and research focused, providing students with experience in experimental investigation, numerical modelling, design, and engineering research methods.
