BIO

Dr Emily Tomlinson is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She is an emerging leader in delirium research, recognised nationally  for her work on improving delirium care, reducing antipsychotic overuse, and strengthening nurse-led approaches to managing delirium in older adults. Her research focuses on clinical decision-making, non-pharmacological interventions, and the translation of evidence into practice. Emily has contributed to identifying risk factors for delirium, uncovering inconsistencies in clinical management, and supporting safer, evidence-aligned care.
