DrJeremy Drake

I am a biomedical researcher and tertiary teacher with a research focus on the physiology of stress and the molecular cell biology of cancer. My research has most recently produced an international patent for the discovery of a novel, stress-responsive protein in cancer that affects how a breast cancer cell responds to drug treatments. I have been teaching Physiology and Biomedical Sciences at five Australian universities over the last 20+ years and have been awarded two university teaching excellence awards. With a background representing Australia in elite sport, I bring the same level of dedication, focus and pursuit of excellence to my professional career.
