DrRichelle Mayshak

Dr Richelle Mayshak’s research examines aggression, antisocial behaviour and interpersonal relationships across family, workplace and online settings. She has particular expertise in relational aggression, including behaviours such as social exclusion, rumour spreading and attempts to damage another person’s relationships or reputation. Her work considers the psychological and social factors associated with aggression, including personality, emotional experiences, and the overlap between experiencing and engaging in harmful behaviour.

Her research interests also include child-to-parent violence, aggression and conflict within families, alcohol-related violence, and online antisocial behaviour. She examines links between social media use and violence, with an interest in how digital environments shape interpersonal interactions and opportunities for harm. Her workplace research interests include the relationships between relational aggression, individual differences and wellbeing.
