A leading expert in digital feminist activism, Jessamy has over 10 years of experience as a strategic advisor, thought leader and activist. Through the integration of her academic achievements and expertise in activism, she has spearheaded positive change and practical outcomes for individuals and communities, particularly women and First Nations people. Highly skilled in curriculum design, she takes an intersectional approach to teaching and research.  

Jessamy's research is grounded in her history of feminism, activism. She has been involved in organisations and campaigns including SlutWalk Melbourne, the Feminist Writers Festival, and currently sits on the board at Fair Agenda. Her work sits at the intersection of academia and activism, and looks to both understanding gender inequality and feminist movements, while turning this knowledge research into practical advocacy and institutional change.
