BIO
I am a psychology academic specialising in women's health and the psychosocial impacts of chronic conditions, with a particular focus on endometriosis, body image, and sexual wellbeing. My work is centred on understanding how these experiences affect people’s everyday lives and on ensuring that psychological research contributes to meaningful, real‑world outcomes.
I develop and lead collaborative research that brings together academic, community, and professional perspectives to address complex health challenges, generating applied research that informs communication and care, improving healthcare experiences and outcomes in under-researched areas. My research uses co-designed and lived/living experience-informed approaches to ensure research is relevant, co-designed, and responsive to community needs. Through this work, I contribute to improving understanding, communication, and support in areas historically under-recognised within psychology and healthcare.
I contribute to disciplinary leadership through executive roles within the Australasian Society of Behavioural Health and Medicine and through collaborative partnerships with clinicians, researchers, and people with lived experience that strengthen the relevance and impact of psychological research. Alongside my research, I teach and lead large-scale first-year psychology units, designing applied, authentic learning experiences that support students to build strong foundations for their studies and future careers.
