BIO
Dr Julie Kos is an experienced disability and inclusive education researcher. After completing a combined PhD and Master of Clinical Psychology degree in 2004, she worked for the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Australian Government Department of Families and Communities and the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). At ACER, she led numerous national and international projects, including in Indonesia, India and across the Pacific. She has written more than 55 successful grant applications to undertake research, and has worked with more than 20 government departments, at the state/territory, national and international levels, and with various funding bodies, including the World Bank and the Asia Development Bank.
Her research work focusses on youth with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She co-leads the Timor Leste-Deakin University partnership, where she works closely with the Ministry of Education and various education-focussed institutions.
