Andrew’s research examines how leadership shapes the emotional and interpersonal functioning of teams. He is particularly interested in how leaders manage employees’ emotions, relationships, and interactions, and how these processes influence individual and collective outcomes. His work extends traditional task-focused views of leadership by showing that effective leaders also act as affective coaches who shape how people feel, relate, and work together. His research has appeared in leading journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology (ABDC A*) and Personnel Psychology (ABDC A*).
