TEACHING EXPERTISE

Andrew is passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences for first-year students. His teaching is guided by the belief that students learn more effectively when they feel confident to participate, understand the relevance of management concepts, and receive clear support as they transition into university study. His areas of teaching expertise include large-cohort first-year education, student engagement, authentic assessment, evidence-informed curriculum improvement, and the coordination of teaching teams across face-to-face and online settings. As Unit Chair and lecturer for MMM111 Managing Self and Others and MMM132 Management, he has strengthened learning through contemporary organisational examples, responsible GenAI guidance, context-based assessment, and clearer moderation and feedback processes. By supporting tutors and markers to apply consistent standards, he has also helped create more equitable and coherent learning experiences across large student cohorts.
