Responsibility: Coordinate and project manage the full day multidisciplinary continuing professional event at Bond University, June. This event brought together national and international leaders in cachexia and oncology research and practice to translate research for practitioners.

Coordinate the scientific program and conference logistic, chair committee meetings, manage committee stakeholders.

Represent the Conference Program Subcommittee, inform and vote on planning decisions.

Review and advise on the scientific and social coordination, ensure that conference content highlights students’ cutting-edge research and includes attractive invited speakers for novel multidisciplinary emerging researchers.

Review and advise on the scientific merit of the conference content and speakers, and to coordinate the social events associated with the conference, lead the planning of concurrent sessions, lead development of a satellite workshop, member participation.

Lead student mentorship conference satellite events, represent the AAG on the Emerging Researchers in Aging workshop collaboration, lead sub-committee meetings, represent sub-committee on the Student and Early Career Conference Committee.

Design, arrange and implement the inaugural conference to feature research completed by higher degree researchers at Bond University, and to provide them with an opportunity to network between disciplines and with experienced researchers. Evidence of success: The inaugural event was valued by the Higher Degree Researchers and faculty alike and has been run annually since.

Member (2013-ongoing), Co-chair (2016-17, 2020-2021), and Chair (2018-2019). Responsibility: Provide continuing professional development for its members and to build and support collaborative research, particularly for higher degree researchers. Specifically, I led the terms of reference implementation, meeting coordination, activity coordination, engaging speakers, project facilitation, stakeholder engagement.

Translates health and medical research about autism into accessible ‘easy read’, to support the neurodiverse community to self-advocate.
