DrRosey Chang

Dr Rosey Chang is a Lecturer in Graduate Researcher Development at the Researcher Development Academy, Deakin University. Rosey holds a broad range of interdisciplinary research interests cross doctoral candidate development and contemplative studies (incorporating Buddhist Studies and mindfulness science).

Rosey has been a member of the teams in School of Graduate Research and the College Office of Design & Social Context (RMIT University), in-house developer for the STEM Practice Academy (Swinburne University of Technology), and a lecturer in the Engineering Learning Unit and Biomedical Multimedia Unit at The University of Melbourne. Recognition for her development work includes a joint award from the Australian Office of Learning and Teaching. 

At Deakin University, Rosey leads the conversation on graduate researcher careers in collaboration with the Director, Graduate Employability and the DeakinTALENT careers services team. The key program is Graduate Researchers' Careers Fest, offered annually. Rosey also co-ordinates and co-facilitates the marquee course, "Driving your thesis to a successful completion" program. 

Rosey completed her PhD at Monash University in 2024, where she explored interconnections between the act of writing and mindfulness practice with a focus on the emotional experiences of writing. The project outputs included mixed-methods empirical research, a mindfulness training curriculum and a creative artefact.
