BIO

Chimdi Chukwukere is a PhD researcher in the Management discipline at Deakin University, Australia. His research focuses on the drivers of organisational resistance to digital transformation and how these challenges can be addressed through a socio-technical systems approach. His doctoral project, Navigating Organizational Resistance in Digital Transformation: Insights from Socio-Technical Systems Theory, explores how organisational, technological, and human factors interact in shaping transformation outcomes. His work sits at the intersection of digital transformation, technologies, and management.

 

Chimdi holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the School of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University, United States, and a First Class Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History and International Relations from Paul University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He has a professional background spanning risk analysis, global security, academia, the non-profit sector, and technology policy, with experience at organisations including Palo Alto Networks; The Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), Geneva, Switzerland; The Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership; The Public Policy Shapers; Allied Universal (athenahealth); and Pyrra Technologies.

 

He was previously a Company Director and Co-founder of Nigeria-based civic tech organization Policy Shapers, a civic tech initiative advancing policy innovation across Africa and the diaspora. His writing has appeared in outlets including Internet Policy Review, IPS Inter Press Service, Politics Today, London School of Economics's Africa@LSE's LSE blogs and European Consortium for Political Research blog, The Loop, reflecting his broader interest in bridging academic research, policy, and practice.
