BIO

Kerryn Hart is an Ahpra-registered optometrist and academic whose work sits at the intersection of university education, clinical policy and professional practice. Her expertise lies in translating professional standards, clinical guidelines and evidence into research-informed curriculum, scholarship and initiatives that strengthen graduate capability and improve the quality of eye care.

 

With more than 20 years of clinical experience across public and private practice, Kerryn brings contemporary clinical expertise to her teaching and research. Her work focuses on curriculum design and innovation, the integration of clinical practice guidelines, professional standards and quality use of medicines, with an emphasis on preparing graduates and practitioners to deliver evidence-informed, patient-centred care.

 

Kerryn is recognised nationally for her leadership in optometry education and clinical policy. Through collaborations with universities, professional organisations and government agencies, she leads initiatives that shape curriculum, inform professional practice and contribute to healthcare policy, strengthening the translation of evidence into education and clinical care to improve eye health outcomes.
