RESEARCH INTERESTS

Professor Salmon's program of research focuses on:

• The epidemiology of child and youth sedentary behaviour and physical activity (prevalence and trends, associations with health);
• Design and impact of observational (cohort) and intervention studies (efficacy and effectiveness trials) in sedentary behaviour and physical activity among children and youth, as well as adults;
• Assessment of children's sedentary behaviour and physical activity using surveys and objective measures (e.g., activity monitors); and
• Implementation and scale-up of sedentary behaviour and physical activity interventions
