ProfessorJaclyn Broadbent

Jaclyn Broadbent is an internationally recognised researcher in higher education with two PhDs in Psychology and Education. Her research examines how universities can design assessment, feedback, and digital learning environments that help students become effective, self-regulated learners.

Her work focuses on solving practical challenges in modern higher education, particularly how to support student learning at scale in online and blended environments. She investigates how assessment and feedback can be designed to actively support learning, how students develop feedback literacy and self-regulated learning skills, and how learning analytics and digital tools can be used to guide students’ learning decisions. 

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes while helping universities design sustainable, evidence informed teaching practices for large and diverse student cohorts.

Jaclyn is ranked in the world’s top 2% of scientists (Stanford University/Elsevier). She has published more than 70 journal articles and book chapters and has over 12,000 citations with an h-index of 38 (Google Scholar).
