BIO

Professor Adam Karg (PhD) is a Professor in the Sport Management Program at Deakin University.

His main research areas are in sport consumer behaviour including sport fan-organisation relationships, season ticket holder satisfaction and retention and attendance modelling. Additionally, he undertakes research in sponsorship and branding, technology and innovation and social connection applied to sport. Adam is a three-time recipient of Australian Research Council Linkage grants, a university teaching award winner, a research fellow of the North American Society for Sport Management and has been engaged in a research and advisory roles with over 100 organisations including national and regional sport organisations, government bodies, agencies, sport technology start-ups, professional leagues and over 45 professional sport teams in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Asia.

He is an author of International Sport Business: Current Issues and Future Trends as well as an author of leading regional textbooks on Sport Marketing and Sport Organisations. Adam is a past president of the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand (SMAANZ) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
